Departure takes place in the early afternoon from Foum Zguid. In a 4x4, we will enter the Iriki National Park, crossing its vast plains and diverse landscapes, approaching the mountains known as the Moroccan Desert Colorado. These plateau-shaped rocks rise from the flat horizon, creating an astonishing and impressive landscape. We’ll take time to stop so you can admire them.

After this scenery of plains and peaks, we’ll reach the first dunes of the Sahara, arriving at Erg El Mhazil. Here, our team will have set up the tent and camp, where we’ll spend our first night. Surrounded by wild nature, you can enjoy the sunset over the sea of sand stretching before you.

Dinner will be served around the fire, and all you have to do is look up to admire the bright, star-filled desert sky. You’ll experience the joy of a peaceful night among the dunes, immersed in the tranquility of the desert.

After breakfast, we’ll break camp and set out to explore the desert on a 4-hour trek. We’ll be accompanied by a caravan of camels carrying supplies and camping equipment. The trek will be at your own pace—take in the beauty of the landscapes, notice the small details that reveal the life within the dunes, and listen to the song of the wind and the sand under your feet.

Enjoy these moments that reconnect you with yourself and the surrounding nature. We’ll continue walking until we reach Erg El Ghoule. Upon arrival, you can help with setting up the camp, rest, climb the tallest dunes to admire the panorama, or simply enjoy the present moment.

In the evening, we’ll share the day’s highlights around the campfire, playing music in the nomadic tradition for a joyful and friendly night. After a full day, you’ll enjoy a restful night’s sleep, either in the tent or under the starry sky, according to your preference.

Early risers can watch the sunrise over the dunes to start the day beautifully. The temporary camp will be dismantled as we head toward our final destination, the small village of Zaouait Sidi Abdenabi. After about 2 hours of walking, we’ll arrive near the village for lunch.

In the afternoon, we’ll return to Foum Zguid, crossing the desert plains of the dried Iriki Lake.
