In the early afternoon, departure from Foum Zguid by 4x4 towards the dunes of Erg El M'Hazil to meet our camel drivers and their dromedaries. There, the camp is set up in the heart of nature, with large tents, carpets, and everything needed to live like the nomads. In the evening, a delicious dinner awaits you under the stars in the peaceful silence of the desert. It’s the perfect moment to talk about life in the desert, share stories, and exchange experiences. You can choose to sleep under the open sky to fully experience the desert atmosphere, or rest in the provided tents.
Enjoy the sunrise over the dunes and its magnificent light, followed by a delicious breakfast. You’ll then cross the sand dunes on camelback towards Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi. Upon arrival, take some time to relax and soak in the peacefulness and natural surroundings.
Later, when the sun is less intense, our guide will take you on a visit to the nearby village of Zaouiat Sidi Abdenabi, with its oasis, the tomb of the marabout Sidi Abdenabi, and ancient ruins that tell stories of the past. It’s a culturally rich experience offering insight into the life of this charming nomadic village.
As the sun sets over the vast plains, you’ll gather around the campfire for dinner and enjoy a warm, friendly evening in the company of our nomadic team.
After breakfast, we’ll head back to Foum Zguid by 4x4 along the desert track, with a stop to discover a fascinating fossil site along the way. Arrival in Foum Zguid is scheduled around noon.
