In the morning, we will depart in a 4x4 along the track from Foum Zguid, heading toward the oasis located 25 km away. We will cross part of the Iriki National Park, at the edge of the desert, through ochre-colored hills. In the distance, the table mountains gradually appear, revealing the vastness of these spaces amidst the wide plains.
Upon arriving at the oasis, you will be able to admire these mountains, also called the “Moroccan Colorado,” thanks to their rich red and orange colors and unusual shapes. These millennia-old geological formations stand out against the blue sky, with recognizable shapes from afar, including the famous tajine-shaped peak.
The Laarjimia Oasis, made up of date palms, is an important stopping point for nomadic herds that come to drink from the well. In the shade of these palms, we will take the time to enjoy a delicious lunch cooked over a wood fire and sip traditional mint tea. You will be able to explore the area and climb the nearby hills to gain height and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Take in the calm of this wild environment and appreciate the full diversity of nature in these unique settings.
In the late afternoon, we will return to Foum Zguid, where you can have dinner and experience the evening atmosphere of this charming small town.
